\nyour songs noticed, you need to be good at distributing them on the internet \u2013
\nand how you do that is almost as important as the quality of the songs themselves.
\nThis is great news for artists, as you don\u2019t have to depend on getting signed
\nto get heard, but there\u2019s a downside: it\u2019s far easier for people to copy your

Fears about plagiarism aren\u2019t exactly unfounded: there have been
\nmany famous cases of plagiarism and plenty more have been alleged. Even when
\nplagiarism is completely unintentional, it can be massively expensive and complicated<\/a> to sort out.<\/p>\n

\nputting their work online for fear of being ripped off. Some artists get so
\nworried about this that they avoid distributing their work at all, meaning that

Protecting your work used to be difficult and complicated, and
