Registering your songs with Soundreef has become even simpler!
\nWe\u2019ve made a few changes to improve and speed up the process.<\/p>\n

One of the main changes we\u2019ve implemented is the removal of a Total <\/em>or Partial<\/em> registration. All rightsholders (songwriters\/publishers) have to do is specify their ownership percentage shares.<\/p>\n

Try it yourself!
\nGo to the Music<\/em> section of your account, click on Register Music <\/em>and enter the number of songs you wish to register, the collecting services<\/em> you want for these songs and the details requested.
\nIf you\u2019re registering more than one song, you can decide whether to apply the same information to all of them or change the name<\/em> and genre<\/em>.
\nAt this stage you can also add your ISRC <\/em>codes.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s look at the possible scenarios:<\/p>\n

1 \u2013 \u201cThe other rightsholders and I own 100% of the song and we\u2019re all subscribed to Soundreef\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In this case, the process is quite simple.<\/p>\n

All you have to do is specify the main information<\/strong> \u2013 number of songs you want to register<\/em>, collecting services <\/em>and territories<\/em>, song title, artist <\/em>and genre<\/em><\/strong> \u2013 and the percentage share of performance <\/em>and mechanical rights<\/em>.
\nIf you\u2019re the only rightsholder and you don\u2019t have a publisher, you own 100% of the song. After confirming this information, you can generate and sign the List of Works<\/em>, a document that summarizes the registration process.<\/p>\n

If there is more than one rightsholder, after adding the main information<\/strong>, the person registering the song can tag<\/em> the other rightsholders by entering their name, surname, registration email and their ownership percentage shares. Just like before, they can generate the List of Works<\/em> and make sure everyone signs it to guarantee the song is officially registered.
\nRemember: the division of ownership percentage shares is a private negotiation between rightsholders.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re the only rightsholder and you own all of the master\/recording rights, enter \u201c100%\u201d in the appropriate box.
\nIf the other rightsholders and you own all of the master\/recording rights, enter the ownership percentage shares of each one.
\nIn either case, your music can be added to the In-Store service<\/a>.<\/p>\n

2a \u2013 \u201cI want to collect my royalty share but I don\u2019t own 100% of the song\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Once again, it\u2019s quite simple.
\nOnce you add the main information<\/strong>, you can enter the ownership percentage shares of each rightsholder.
\nIf your co-author is subscribed to another Collecting Society, you can still include them in the registration. Just add their name\/surname and email, alongside their ownership percentage shares.
\nShould you not wish to invite them to subscribe to Soundreef, your song will be registered with your signature on the List of Works<\/em>.<\/p>\n

2b \u2013 \u201cI want to invite my co-author to subscribe to Soundreef while registering the song\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Well\u2026 you guessed it: it\u2019s quite simple! Just click on add a rightsholder<\/em>.
\nOnce you invite them, the song will be registered only after all rightsholders sign the List of Works<\/em>.<\/p>\n

If your co-author is subscribed to another Collecting Society, it\u2019s imperative they check the latter\u2019s resignation policies and time frames.<\/p>\n

Mp3 & ISRC codes<\/h3>\n

Finally, remember to add the ISRC <\/em>codes and the track\u2019s MP3 file. If you don\u2019t have them at the moment of registration, you can add them at a later time in the Music<\/em> section of your account.<\/p>\n
