Live Music Trends<\/strong><\/h3>\n

As highlighted by Citi Research, live events keep increasing both in Europe and in the US. In fact, figures estimate the latter might record around $11.06 billion in revenue this year, which is surprising when compared to 2014\u2019s $9.06 billion and streaming\u2019s $ 3.66 billion.<\/p>\n

\u201cI haven\u2019t seen people spending this much money on live music since the late \u201990s\u201d, stated Tommy Goodwin, who has more than 20 years\u2019 experience managing event logistics, such as the Governors Ball Music Festival held in New York.<\/p>\n

Europe seems to be following this trend: last year alone, live concerts and festivals registered a 12% increase (source: MN2S) in the UK, whose music market is second only to Germany (which recorded $2.1 billion in revenue for live music last year). Music tourism \u2013 when fans visit another city or country to see festivals and concerts \u2013 is also growing and not only thanks to big artists; lesser-known artists are bringing more and more fans, making their concerts increasingly bigger.<\/p>\n

More Concerts for Soundreef Artists\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Soundreef authors and publishers\u2019 concerts keep rising. In 2018, the number of live events held during the first 7 months alone was almost the same as all of 2017\u2019s put together. This number is almost double that of Soundreef concerts held in 2016. This trend is expected to continue in 2019.<\/p>\n

The total value of Soundreef licenses is also on the rise and is often directly proportionate to the importance of the event, the size of the festival and\/or the popularity of the artists. The average value of licenses, which had already increased drastically in 2017, proves 2019 will be another good year.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe number of new organizers who\u2019ve registered is impressive\u201d – says Alex from LEA\u2019s Live Customer Support \u2013 \u201cThe fact that they are all thrilled with the service is even more important than the number itself\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n
